Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bernardino Mark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Bertoni came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardino Mark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 31st minute of play forced LA IMPRENTA's goalkeeper Bernardino Mark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardino Mark. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. LA IMPRENTA's Elpidio Espiridion got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 minutes, Alvaro Loria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA IMPRENTA and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Alvaro Loria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA IMPRENTA's goalkeeper Bernardino Mark, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernardino Mark was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Daniel Zorita did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Bernardino Mark 71 minutes into the match. With a little luck, LA IMPRENTA's Bernardino Mark got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Elpidio Espiridion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA IMPRENTA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Bernardino Mark made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute. After 83 played minutes LA IMPRENTA got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Bertoni. A collision led to LA IMPRENTA getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ricardo Bertoni hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, LA IMPRENTA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Bernardino Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in LA IMPRENTA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! The LA IMPRENTA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
