Primitivo Andino made in the 12th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. 15 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Eriberto Erlantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eriberto Erlantz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 22nd minute, Ahmet Hasan Turan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eriberto Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Alfred Pawelczyk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Alfred Pawelczyk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Cura del Futbol's Bonifacio Loramendi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Cura del Futbol's Eriberto Erlantz. Eriberto Erlantz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eriberto Erlantz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Erlantz saved Cura del Futbol from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

57 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's Alfred Pawelczyk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 59 minutes, Felix Montenegro made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Cura del Futbol's Eriberto Erlantz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Pawelczyk came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Eriberto Erlantz managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daniel Zorita did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Eriberto Erlantz 64 minutes into the match. Eriberto Erlantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Erlantz having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Pawelczyk in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Alfred Pawelczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cura del Futbol getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Natalio Gergori hit a great ball. Alfred Pawelczyk hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Gilberto Aztore kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Cura del Futbol's Eriberto Erlantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Eriberto Erlantz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With a little luck, Cura del Futbol's Eriberto Erlantz got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Aztore kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
