Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elpidio Francis got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's Lisandro Nuñez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dario Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Prosperi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julien Corbeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dario Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Gabon in the 19th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Astigar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Nuñez came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Bonifacio Suarez got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dario Astigar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Branislav Velchevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lisandro Nuñez's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. When Ernie Siegel fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAN LORENZO FC's protests and gave Ernie Siegel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernie Siegel to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Nuñez to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lisandro Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Nuñez in the 62nd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lisandro Nuñez in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Branislav Velchevski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SAN LORENZO FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernie Siegel took the corner. The corner led SAN LORENZO FC's Ernie Siegel to fire away a dangerous shot which Branislav Velchevski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 66th minute, Genaro Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciriaco Cordarrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Branislav Velchevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Iztal to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Cordarrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Dario Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Osorio in the 83rd minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the SAN LORENZO FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA.
