Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Concetto Trasatti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 12th minute of play. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match USA got a corner. Estudiantes de América's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Cordarrel in the 19th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Estudiantes de América got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximo Dei ran over to the corner to take the kick. Korneliusz Miodek kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Joel Cordarrel struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de América. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 30th minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, USA's Edward Mcdonald made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Ranolfo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Dei to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Concetto Trasatti in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Day, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Concetto Trasatti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Joel Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de América from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Maximo Dei notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Kraig Fred replaced Concetto Trasatti. Estudiantes de América's Flavio Iraunkor was substituted for Joel Cordarrel. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. 68 minutes in the game Raphael Moore did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sam Campbell. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 69th minute of the match. If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Ruisko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 84th minute, Kraig Fred ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Marcos Ranolfo made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Marco Baker sent off a good shot on target. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de América from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Estudiantes de América were victorious despite being under pressure from USA for much of the match.
