The supporters of Ecuador booed when O-TT-O was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yılmaz Necmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in O-TT-O's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Leisted came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walter Leisted showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of the match. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Volmar Graugaard came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the O-TT-O fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Volmar Graugaard couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Walter Leisted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced O-TT-O's goalkeeper Walter Leisted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Leisted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walter Leisted didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torsten Randslef in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Leisted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Leisted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Leisted read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Leisted narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Walter Leisted to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 53rdth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but O-TT-O's Walter Leisted was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Palle Jansbøl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walter Leisted. That made the score 0-4 after 72 minutes of play. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Walter Leisted in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walter Leisted made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Walter Leisted didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Walter Leisted. That made the score 0-6 in the 90 minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volmar Graugaard in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
