An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 6th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pirani in the 10th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Gilmar Monteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Pirani struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vascogoianiense FC. Nelsinho Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lautaro Mancebo sped through Vascogoianiense FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelsinho Leite. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Nelsinho Leite despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Sousa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 45th minute of play. Aírton Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Pirani to strike the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho Leite didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. 康渊霆 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nelsinho Leite saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 87th minute of the match, Luca Zorita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nelsinho Leite saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
