Helder Cadanes succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Göran Bröms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Avelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 21st minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Bröms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes BRUGGE FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. Uruguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Rui Avelar scored to the left of an out of position Joaquin Gayoso, making the score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 59th minute Radoslaw Zagrodny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BRUGGE FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
