Denis Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of the match. Atlético Villa Gesell were furious when Isaias Eudoxio was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Villa Gesell fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Villa Gesell defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Calvino. The Atlético Villa Gesell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Calvino should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Mexico booed when Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Atlético Villa Gesell players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-3.

Denis Calvino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Atlético Villa Gesell's Donato Benino was substituted for Paulo Rudolfo. Atlético Villa Gesell made a substitution. Maximino Peyo replaced Gaston Jerardo. Denis Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 84th minute of play. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Villa Gesell throughout the match.
