After 2 played minutes Magnifico FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Novaes. Alan Machado scored 2-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Magnifico FC - FSCMZ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Linhares in the 13th minute of the match. Magnifico FC - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Senna took the corner. Nestor Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Linhares came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Alan Machado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 3-0. Alan Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 29th minute, Chicão Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Machado in the 31st minute of play. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Nestor Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Linhares in the 46th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 51st minute of the match Dorival Xavier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juninho Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Alan Machado scored 4-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's Richard Senna. But to his dismay, Richard Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's Richard Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Linhares in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Richard Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Gugu Tande came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Magnifico FC - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu Tande couldn't finish the play. Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's Nestor Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Richard Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's Richard Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. If Richard Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Magnifico FC - FSCMZ were the better team. Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
