Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilio Munio having to make a save. Severiano Venceslas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Su to strike the kick off in the second half. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Emilio Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Danilo Errolan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Acercate Y Patea de Lejos throughout the match.
