Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zhao Yue Cheng made the kick off and thus started the match. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Yue Cheng in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of LUIZ PANATO booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Pedro Luiz Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zhao Yue Cheng in the 11th minute. Tostão Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 18th minute of play forced LUIZ PANATO's goalkeeper Guto Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Escribano went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, LUIZ PANATO's Tostão Reis got a free kick in the 25th minute. Guto Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 28th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Damian Urki sent off a good shot on target. Guto Taffarel came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 40th minute, Aki Guardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LUIZ PANATO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Maximiliano Escribano scored 2-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guto Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The LUIZ PANATO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 2-3.

Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Guto Taffarel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Yue Cheng in the 53rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Aki Guardo came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pedro Luiz Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the LUIZ PANATO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luiz Paiva couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Yue Cheng in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Guto Taffarel made a huge save. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tarcisio Diniz during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tarcisio Diniz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Yue Cheng in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. With a little luck, LUIZ PANATO's Guto Taffarel got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Zhao Yue Cheng came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the LUIZ PANATO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhao Yue Cheng couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, LUIZ PANATO's Arlindo de Salles got a free kick in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the game, João Adolfo Sousa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Uruguay played a much better game than LUIZ PANATO and deserved their victory. The LUIZ PANATO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
