The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Mariano Bombarda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitório Britto was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Betão Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Kenneth van der Leegte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Saldanha in the 24th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Kenneth van der Leegte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Holt to maneuver through the defense. Vitório Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerjan Staarman in the 31st minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerjan Staarman to strike the kick off in the second half. Wouter Kluivert hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Stef Mol kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With 64 minutes on the clock, Marco Hofland commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SV Wissenkerke! Vitório Britto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Bombarda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 74 minute of play. When Leendert Looze fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Wissenkerke's protests and gave Leendert Looze a yellow card for diving instead. Leendert Looze hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
