The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kenneth van der Leegte was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Gunther Van Landewijck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herald Wouqier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan Staarman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerjan Staarman in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herald Wouqier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 minutes, Izaak Kluivert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Wissenkerke and the Geetsvondel² players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Izaak Kluivert hit a great ball. When SV Wissenkerke's Gerjan Staarman in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Geetsvondel²'s goalie prevented a goal. After 27 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Bombarda. Kenneth van der Leegte came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Geetsvondel²'s Aaron De Ceuster. But to his dismay, Aaron De Ceuster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 35 played minutes Frank De Mol rounded SV Wissenkerke's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. Christiaan Caes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Kenneth van der Leegte made a huge save. Ralph Cramer's late challenge caught a Geetsvondel²'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralph Cramer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ralph Cramer hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Douglas Gijselinckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geetsvondel²'s supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Gijselinckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth van der Leegte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gunther Van Landewijck made a kick off. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunther Van Landewijck in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the game, SV Wissenkerke's Gerjan Staarman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herald Wouqier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 55th minute, Leendert Looze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wouter Kluivert in the 58th minute of play forced Geetsvondel²'s goalkeeper Herald Wouqier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerjan Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Geetsvondel²'s Frank De Mol in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 76 minutes of play, Geetsvondel²'s Gunther Van Landewijck made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth van der Leegte was left in no man's land by his defense there! SV Wissenkerke's Kenneth van der Leegte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiaan Caes in the 79th minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, Geetsvondel²'s Frank De Mol made it 8-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth van der Leegte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gunther Van Landewijck scored 9-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Geetsvondel² fully deserved thier win.
