Tim Zeigler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tim Zeigler in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 18 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Zeigler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tim Zeigler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Zeigler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Zeigler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tim Zeigler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipillo Cotan was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Ayapaso FC and deserved their victory. The Ayapaso FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
