Damazy Biegun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 9th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miralles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 21st minute of play forced 马踏东京赏樱花，目光所致皆为华夏's goalkeeper Damazy Biegun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Bermudez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugo Bermudez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Damazy Biegun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After 46 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Sarmiento. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Panama's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose.
