Tim Zeigler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipillo Cotan in the 32nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well placed Felipillo Cotan short distance shot in the 40th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Americo Orlanda got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felipillo Cotan. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
