Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Huchro in the 3rd minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute, Tomasz Huchro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 9 de Diciembre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Amado Lider kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after 9 de Diciembre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner ended in Rigoberto Mina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 9 de Diciembre's Amadeo Carrizo did a great save. 28 minutes into the game, Tomasz Huchro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of 9 de Diciembre booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rogelio Ruisko, made in the 37th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomasz Huchro was the one to do the kick off. Tomasz Huchro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The corner led to 9 de Diciembre's Pål Säv getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Amadeo Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 60th minute of play. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Tomasz Huchro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 69 played minutes 9 de Diciembre got a freekick which was hit by Amado Lider. In the 72nd minute, Anier Eron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 9 de Diciembre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Amadeo Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Anier Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. If Cayetano Maties had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Tomasz Huchro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 9 de Diciembre fully deserved thier win.
