Higinio Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match, Luís Fábio Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 31 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higinio Aguilera. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Higinio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Venancio Sandaili in the 35 minute of the game. Higinio Aguilera came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 41 minutes into the game, Venancio Sandaili threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 41 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Demy Ottens. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 45th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Luís Fábio Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-2 after 47 minutes of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 55th minute of play. With a little luck, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venancio Sandaili made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Andrea Pirlo. In the 72nd minute, Luz Tejedor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Indiana Jones got a free kick in the 76th minute. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Adan Inge replaced Demy Ottens. Indiana Jones hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 79th minute of play. With a little luck, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Inge in the 97th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rafael Gallo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Higinio Aguilera was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. The Los Hijos de Doña Beija fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
