Serafin Eate didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cassius Byrne went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Herman Arvidsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Marco Day however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 30th minute of play forced Club Atletico Chusca's goalkeeper Serafin Eate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cassius Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute of the match, Lauro Moreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco Day saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Serafin Eate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 46th minute of play. Monty Rogers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atletico Chusca made a substitution. Leonardo Gumaro replaced Baldomero Montae. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cassius Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lauro Moreira scored 2-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Moreira in the 77th minute of the match. Sam Campbell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 83rd minute Lauro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Baker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Serafin Eate made a huge save. Diego Bradley made in the 95th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Khalid Parry immediately put the ball in play. Serafin Eate made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 98th minute. Despite being the better team, USA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
