The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Didi Castro:s penalty. 14 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mexico booed when Futbol Club RRFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Samuel Souza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Samuel Souza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Angelo Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Velasco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Vimaro in the 38th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Futbol Club RRFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Castro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 44th minute. 洪延广 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, 洪延广 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Samuel Souza made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Futbol Club RRFV getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. André Luís Martins hit a great ball. Fausto Vimaro charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Vimaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Futbol Club RRFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Vimaro to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Sena in the 63rd minute of play. Angelo Velasco made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Angelo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Futbol Club RRFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Souza in the 76th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Angelo Velasco made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Angelo Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Velasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 洪延广 took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
