In the 3rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Zuberbühler FC's Natalio Bernal. But to his dismay, Natalio Bernal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cipriano Elazar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 13 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Kemen. In the 14th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Cipriano Elazar. Zuberbühler FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Adan Mouricio got a free kick in the 18th minute. Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Elazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cipriano Elazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Elazar came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Elazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Adan Mouricio got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Elazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Eleder went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cipriano Elazar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 56 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Cipriano Elazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 58th minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Elazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Elazar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Zuberbühler FC from getting a goal against them. After 72 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cipriano Elazar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Elazar. Cipriano Elazar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-7. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 2-8, to the right of Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar. Cipriano Elazar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cipriano Elazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute. Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zuberbühler FC throughout the match.
