The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kaká Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 5th minute of the match. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kaká Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abraham Alguacil kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Kaká Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Lauro Bertassi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Kaká Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rony Dionísio to make the kick off. The supporters of Panama booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká Lopes came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kaká Lopes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Berganza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. The supporters of Panama booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaká Lopes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 66th minute, Rafinha Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Kaká Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Miguel Miralles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Sabóia in the 91st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-3 became the score in the 93rd minute when Abraham Alguacil elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jenipapo SC.
