Sven de Zwaan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Eleuterio Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 16th minute of play. Sven de Zwaan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Rigoberto Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rigoberto Nazario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Rigoberto Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Roberto Trotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Nazario having to make a save. Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Rigoberto Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Milian in the 40th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Denis Mero took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 54th minute of the match. Rigoberto Nazario made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. A sloppy throw-in by Bartlomiej Mosiniak in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. 63 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Sven de Zwaan came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Nazario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rigoberto Nazario. Axel Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Argentinos Juniors's Robert Wilson was substituted for Eleuterio Milian. Abram Secada struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Rigoberto Nazario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. When Colombia's Abram Secada in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argentinos Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Secada in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Nazario saved Argentinos Juniors from getting behind. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Falch in the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 94th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Rigoberto Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
