Edinho Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes TZILACATZIN's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pardo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jaime Pardo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TZILACATZIN's Edinho Lira did a great save. If Daniel Cabrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Homero Thomson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Cabrera in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edinho Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Cabrera in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, TZILACATZIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Distiratsu to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Daniel Cabrera took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it. 42 minutes into the game, Birger Jespersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TZILACATZIN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, TZILACATZIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Jespersson to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Edinho Lira in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When TZILACATZIN's Daniel Cabrera in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 61st minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Cabrera scored 3-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Cabrera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Cabrera in the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Daniel Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TZILACATZIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Cabrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edinho Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Birger Jespersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes of play, TZILACATZIN's Daniel Cabrera made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! The TZILACATZIN players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
