Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olav Suur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 8th minute of the match, Mihai Ozon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Gotzon in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Prospero Santo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Punua's protests and gave Prospero Santo a yellow card for diving instead. Punua's Olav Suur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 12th minute of play. Olav Suur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. Remigio Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Punua's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Olav Suur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Mihai Ozon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Mihai Ozon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 played minutes Punua got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Ozon. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Punua's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Olav Suur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olav Suur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Bras in the 39th minute. Prudencio Bras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Gotzon to make the kick off. When Punua's Prudencio Bras in 52 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Julio Vera guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a rather tough play, Punua's Remigio Giro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Olav Suur made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Olav Suur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Bras, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the game, Prudencio Bras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olav Suur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Andino in the 85th minute. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Olav Suur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute of play. Prospero Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Punua.
