Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Victorino Geofredo took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Sp. Mataderos getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Aldo Salomone hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Sp. Mataderos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Danilo Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leandro Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Abeitia was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Danilo Abeitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Abeitia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 27th minute, Sp. Mataderos's Victorino Geofredo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Leandro Lobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Abeitia having to make a save. Danilo Abeitia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play forced Sp. Mataderos's goalkeeper Danilo Abeitia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Sp. Mataderos defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Abeitia. The Sp. Mataderos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Abeitia should have stopped the shot. The Sp. Mataderos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

56 minutes into the game, Aldo Salomone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sp. Mataderos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Abeitia having to make a save. With a little luck, Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Geofredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Sp. Mataderos were awarded a corner. Maximiliano Oriche went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Abeitia having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Danilo Abeitia. After having played for 81 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Abeitia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Lobo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia. Danilo Abeitia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Sp. Mataderos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
