Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attila Mesterházy. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Madaras in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marin Manea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, Honduras's Christian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Attila Mesterházy was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by László Madaras in the 29th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes in the game Zsombor Medve did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Máté Elek. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Marin Manea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-2. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karel Suryoprayogo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Attila Mesterházy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell László Madaras to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, László Madaras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's supporters rose to their feet, but László Madaras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Máté Elek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Máté Elek was slow to take the kick. During this time Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Christian Kilstedt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Christian Kilstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Christian Kilstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's László Csank was substituted for Christian Kilstedt. A hard shot 69 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Attila Mesterházy managed to make a qualified save. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's players were relieved. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zsombor Medve in the 71 minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Máté Elek made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC made a substitution. Calistrat Tomulescu replaced Karel Suryoprayogo. Marin Manea made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Attila Mesterházy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the game, László Csank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Máté Elek came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Máté Elek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Honduras for a fine match.
