Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Peake to make the kick off. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Alberto-Federico Acosta was substituted for Baumar Ontanilla. In the 66th minute, Maximino Astudillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
