Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Montorfano's Eraldo Cocca started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Eraldo Cocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciccio Di Tommaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Nuno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Di Tommaso came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Mazán's Zacarias Arnau. But to his dismay, Zacarias Arnau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Eraldo Cocca struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ermegildo Hulberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montorfano. Eraldo Pozzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Hulberto having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Mazán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Nuno to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute of the match Vinicio Miro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciccio Di Tommaso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Eraldo Cocca came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Montorfano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eraldo Cocca couldn't finish the play. Montorfano's Ciccio Di Tommaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Nuno in the 26th minute of play. Ciccio Di Tommaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Miro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Serafino Lauaxeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Montorfano's Eraldo Pozzo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ermegildo Hulberto. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. Zacarias Arnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Vinicio Miro made a precise shot to the right of Ciccio Di Tommaso. Montorfano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 38 minutes into the game, Eraldo Cocca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ermegildo Hulberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 41 minutes into the game, Montorfano's Emiliano Mazzocchetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermegildo Hulberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Montorfano's Ciccio Di Tommaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Montorfano from getting a goal against them. After 57 minutes of play, Montorfano's Eraldo Cocca made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Hulberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Emiliano Mazzocchetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felice Muzi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Sebastian Nuno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Eraldo Cocca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Hulberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Eraldo Cocca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Hulberto having to interfere. In the 81st of the match, Sebastian Nuno tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ciccio Di Tommaso got in the way and made a wonderful save. Sebastian Nuno succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-3 in the 81st playminute. In the 86th minute Eraldo Cocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Mazzocchetti in the 95th minute of play forced Mazán's goalkeeper Ermegildo Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Montorfano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mazán had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
