Bernhard Krier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alperen Diclehan came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernhard Krier slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 8th minute. Jonas Majerus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ralf Behm's late challenge caught a Alpspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralf Behm helped the player get up and apologised. Gregory Hildmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Utku Dokuzoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Alpspor's Asrın Şenalp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregory Hildmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 20th match minute, Saint Etienne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphaël Favre to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Saint Etienne got a freekick which was hit by Harry Thielemann. Gregory Hildmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asrın Şenalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernhard Krier in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alperen Diclehan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bernhard Krier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 30 minutes, Bernhard Krier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint Etienne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernhard Krier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gregory Hildmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asrın Şenalp in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Jonas Majerus notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Alpspor's Alperen Diclehan. Alperen Diclehan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, Saint Etienne's goal looked a bit too open when Utku Dokuzoğlu came free, but Gregory Hildmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes, Ayvaz Şenaltan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alpspor and the Saint Etienne players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alpspor getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ayvaz Şenaltan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernhard Krier in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alperen Diclehan saved Alpspor from getting behind.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Utku Dokuzoğlu made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Bernhard Krier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alperen Diclehan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Alpspor's goal looked a bit too open when Bernhard Krier came free, but Alperen Diclehan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Alpspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüknettin Kazakhan to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Utku Dokuzoğlu during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Utku Dokuzoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Bernhard Krier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alperen Diclehan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Caner Karaalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mustafa Kemal Budun hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernhard Krier in the 65th minute of play forced Alpspor's goalkeeper Alperen Diclehan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Utku Dokuzoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gregory Hildmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Saint Etienne's Bernhard Krier fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 71 minutes into the match, Alpspor's goal looked a bit too open when Bernhard Krier came free, but Alperen Diclehan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Utku Dokuzoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Utku Dokuzoğlu in the 80th minute of play forced Saint Etienne's goalkeeper Gregory Hildmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Saint Etienne's Bernhard Krier in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alpspor's goalie prevented a goal. Utku Dokuzoğlu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-2 to the left of a surprised Gregory Hildmann 83 minutes into the match. Asrın Şenalp struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Gregory Hildmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alpspor. 88 minutes into the match, Jonas Majerus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alperen Diclehan. Alpspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Majerus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. After a rather tough play, Alpspor's Caner Karaalp got a free kick in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Saint Etienne getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Harry Thielemann hit a great ball. Saint Etienne's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
