Ali Behzat Akarslan got a throw-in 3 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Güngör Safvetullah. Gregory Hildmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selami Kutsalmis, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute Bernhard Krier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Canbulat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Bolvadin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selami Kutsalmis to maneuver through the defense. Bernhard Krier might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tuncer Canbulat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernhard Krier ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Bolvadin's goalkeeper Tuncer Canbulat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernhard Krier. When Saint Etienne's Jonas Majerus in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bolvadin's goalie prevented a goal. If Refik Kotuzhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Bernhard Krier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint Etienne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernhard Krier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonas Majerus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuncer Canbulat having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Bolvadin's Refik Kotuzhan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregory Hildmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernhard Krier might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tuncer Canbulat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernhard Krier ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernhard Krier struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Tuncer Canbulat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saint Etienne. In the 29th match minute, Saint Etienne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Behm to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 31 minutes, Selami Kutsalmis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolvadin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selami Kutsalmis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Refik Kotuzhan in the 33rd minute of play forced Saint Etienne's goalkeeper Gregory Hildmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saint Etienne's goalkeeper Gregory Hildmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregory Hildmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selami Kutsalmis in the 36th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Saint Etienne got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Behm. After a defensive mix-up in Saint Etienne's zone, Selami Kutsalmis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Hildmann came out of the goal and Selami Kutsalmis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute Refik Kotuzhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Hildmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tuncer Canbulat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernhard Krier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Yaşar Nuri Atlas with Güngör Safvetullah as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Selami Kutsalmis to make the kick off. 1-1 became the score in the 54th minute when Bernhard Krier elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Güngör Safvetullah's late challenge caught a Saint Etienne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güngör Safvetullah helped the player get up and apologised. 2-1 became the score in the 61st minute when Bernhard Krier elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Saint Etienne's Raphaël Favre quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Yaşar Nuri Atlas, made in the 65th minute of the game. Bolvadin's Tuncer Canbulat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernhard Krier in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Lutz Schlaustein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match Tuncer Usum shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregory Hildmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jonas Majerus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 87th minute of the match Güngör Safvetullah completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Güngör Safvetullah a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Güngör Safvetullah kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 91stth minute of the game Bernhard Krier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolvadin's Tuncer Canbulat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernhard Krier in the 95th minute of play forced Bolvadin's goalkeeper Tuncer Canbulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bolvadin's Sercan Buğdaycı got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Saint Etienne players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
