When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Bruno Stanislao sped through ilkadımspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Levent Şahbender. When Alican Deren came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the ilkadımspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alican Deren couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Baudelio in the 26th minute of play forced ilkadımspor's goalkeeper Levent Şahbender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levent Şahbender didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vytautas Kalasiūnas went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in ilkadımspor's zone, Osvaldo Baudelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Levent Şahbender came out of the goal and Osvaldo Baudelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Gelacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alican Deren, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Vytautas Kalasiūnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levent Şahbender having to interfere. After the first half Malpaso were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vytautas Kalasiūnas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Baudelio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Levent Şahbender when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, one of Malpaso:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malpaso. The referee gave ilkadımspor a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Asrın Süreyya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Malpaso's Martin Gelacio. 1-5.
