Glyn Sherwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adrian Barraclough hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Eraldo Cocca notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Belper Town's Glyn Sherwood. Glyn Sherwood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute Eraldo Pozzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glyn Sherwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Eraldo Cocca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Trasatti made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eraldo Pozzo immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Mazzocchetti in the 25th minute of play forced Belper Town's goalkeeper Glyn Sherwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glyn Sherwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Cocca in the 26th minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Freddie East elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Belper Town's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Cocca came free, but Glyn Sherwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belper Town's Silvester Constable managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felice Muzi in the 36 minute of the game. 37 minutes into the game, Montorfano's Eraldo Cocca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glyn Sherwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Belper Town's zone, Eraldo Cocca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glyn Sherwood came out of the goal and Eraldo Cocca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, Felice Muzi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belper Town's Silvester Constable quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
52 minutes into the game, Alfonso Monti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montorfano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belper Town the free kick. The supporters of Belper Town booed when Montorfano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Monti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Emilio Melchiorre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montorfano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belper Town the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Montorfano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Melchiorre to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Montorfano getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Emilio Melchiorre hit a great ball. Ciccio Di Tommaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie East, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belper Town's Ian Chadwick was substituted for Silvester Constable. Belper Town's Ralf Mahon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alfonso Monti in the 61 minute of the game. Belper Town's Ralf Mahon got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Montorfano's Eraldo Cocca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Glyn Sherwood. Glyn Sherwood yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Montorfano's Ciccio Di Tommaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie East in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Montorfano getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Emiliano Mazzocchetti hit a great ball. Ian Chadwick's late challenge caught a Montorfano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Chadwick helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Belper Town got a freekick which was hit by Ian Chadwick. Ciccio Di Tommaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie East, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Eraldo Cocca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Glyn Sherwood skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sebastien Appleton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, one of Belper Town:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
