The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Denis Birch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Mazán's Ermegildo Hulberto got control of the ball when Sol Lodge tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Freddie East's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermegildo Hulberto was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Freddie East blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermegildo Hulberto having to make a save. In the 20th match minute, Mazán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Miro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Belper Town booed when Mazán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Oihan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Freddie East had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermegildo Hulberto. Mazán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddie East was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Belper Town's Vincent Holdroyd got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Zacarias Arnau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belper Town's Glyn Sherwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Denis Birch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glyn Sherwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Nuno in the 32nd minute of the match. Adrian Barraclough struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ermegildo Hulberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belper Town. When Silvester Constable fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belper Town's protests and gave Silvester Constable a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute Freddie East shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Freddie East lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Ermegildo Hulberto.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddie East stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Adrian Barraclough came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Belper Town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Barraclough couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute Vincent Holdroyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes, Vincent Holdroyd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belper Town and the Mazán players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zacarias Arnau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Glyn Sherwood made a huge save. Adrian Barraclough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ermegildo Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mazán getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Vinicio Miro hit a great ball. Ermegildo Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Barraclough in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Mazán defense, Adrian Barraclough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Hulberto. The Mazán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Hulberto should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vincent Holdroyd in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Hulberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Belper Town were the better team. Belper Town's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
