The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Belper Town's Glyn Sherwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Cheche in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Adrian Barraclough had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiburcio Nel. Andino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Barraclough was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Vincent Holdroyd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tiburcio Nel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freddie East struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Tiburcio Nel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belper Town. Sol Lodge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiburcio Nel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Andino getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arnoldo Gumaro hit a great ball. Freddie East recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Cheche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glyn Sherwood was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Adrian Barraclough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belper Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Barraclough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiburcio Nel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Adrian Barraclough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburcio Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie East, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Adrian Barraclough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Adrian Barraclough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belper Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Barraclough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddie East stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Belper Town got a freekick which was hit by Sol Lodge. In the 55th minute, Adrian Barraclough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiburcio Nel. The goal made the score 0-4. Silvester Constable blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiburcio Nel having to make a save. Belper Town's Ian Chadwick was substituted for Silvester Constable. 65 minutes into the game, Roberto Bento threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belper Town's Sol Lodge quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Adrian Barraclough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Nel having to interfere. If Freddie East had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie East sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Birch charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Freddie East's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiburcio Nel was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Ubarna during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Freddie Easts short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Tiburcio Nel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Andino fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Belper Town were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
