Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Ciccio Di Tommaso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Osvaldo Baudelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Cristiano Panino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montorfano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malpaso the free kick. In the 9th minute, Cristiano Panino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Raul Erroman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ciccio Di Tommaso to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Malpaso defense, Eraldo Cocca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Gelacio. The Malpaso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Gelacio should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Malpaso's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Mazzocchetti came free, but Martin Gelacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Raul Erroman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Emiliano Mazzocchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montorfano's supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Mazzocchetti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Gelacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Baudelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Di Tommaso having to interfere. When Enrique Castulo fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malpaso's protests and gave Enrique Castulo a yellow card for diving instead. Martin Gelacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Mazzocchetti in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Montorfano getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eraldo Pozzo hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Daniele Cherubini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Gelacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, Montorfano's Emiliano Mazzocchetti made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Gelacio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Mazzocchetti in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Bruno Stanislao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malpaso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Mazzocchetti to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Pozzo in the 56th minute of play forced Malpaso's goalkeeper Martin Gelacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eraldo Cocca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montorfano's goalkeeper Ciccio Di Tommaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute of the match, Emiliano Mazzocchetti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Martin Gelacio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ciccio Di Tommaso came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Malpaso's Osvaldo Baudelio. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Baudelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Alfonso Monti took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Martin Gelacio to make any attempt to save it. Franco Ronconi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Montorfano's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Stanislao came free, but Ciccio Di Tommaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emiliano Mazzocchetti came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Montorfano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Mazzocchetti couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Montorfano defense, Eustaquio Silvanito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciccio Di Tommaso. The Montorfano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciccio Di Tommaso should have stopped the shot. When Bruno Stanislao came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Malpaso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Stanislao couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Baudelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malpaso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montorfano the free kick. After 96 played minutes Malpaso got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Baudelio. Montorfano succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Malpaso had controlled the match.
