Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emiliano Mazzocchetti started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Freddie East left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belper Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Freddie East took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciccio Di Tommaso. Ciccio Di Tommaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 13 minutes, Glyn Sherwood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belper Town and the Montorfano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Glyn Sherwood hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Belper Town defense, Eraldo Cocca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martyn Fordham. The Belper Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyn Fordham should have stopped the shot. Christian Nicholson took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciccio Di Tommaso. Ciccio Di Tommaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Sol Lodge made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by George Meadowcroft. Frank Trasatti hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Belper Town's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Pozzo came free, but Martyn Fordham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montorfano's Emilio Melchiorre got a free kick in the 31st minute. Alfonso Monti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Fordham having to interfere. With a little luck, Belper Town's Martyn Fordham got control of the ball when Eraldo Cocca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Belper Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Mahon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Belper Town booed when Montorfano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Cherubini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciccio Di Tommaso came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Belper Town's George Meadowcroft. But to his dismay, George Meadowcroft quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Montorfano's zone, Reg Lewington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Di Tommaso came out of the goal and Reg Lewington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie East in the 53rd minute of play forced Montorfano's goalkeeper Ciccio Di Tommaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, George Meadowcroft ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciccio Di Tommaso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Christian Nicholson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Belper Town's Freddie East slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciccio Di Tommaso. That made the score 1-7 after 63 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Meadowcroft got free with Ciccio Di Tommaso in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Montorfano's goalkeeper Ciccio Di Tommaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Seth Beard. Christian Nicholson kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Montorfano getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Daniele Cherubini hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Seth Beard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belper Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seth Beard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. George Meadowcroft hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Belper Town players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
