Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eufrasio Vall in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mariolo's Eufrasio Vall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Umea Loza came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. If Orlando Casaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umea Loza in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frederico Barros went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 60th minute Umea Loza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umea Loza in the 62nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Indiano hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match.
