Mariano Lacasa scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaudencio Corderun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chile were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Delaostia C.F's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Pedro Indiano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Corderun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Corderun saved Delaostia C.F from getting behind. Leo Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaudencio Corderun. Gaudencio Corderun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Alan Tamayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delaostia C.F the free kick. Delaostia C.F's Urbano Pueblo was substituted for Ove Löv. In the 52nd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Gaudencio Corderun made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the match, Delaostia C.F's goalkeeper Gaudencio Corderun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. The corner ended in Mariano Lacasa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Delaostia C.F's Gaudencio Corderun did a great save.
