After 6 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Baladi. A collision led to Libertad FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Morten Hovland hit a great ball. In the 8th minute of the match Primitivo Escribano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godofredo Tanio skillfully saved the ball. Svetaslav Yanchyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Zoido charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Zoido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ladislao Quilino in the 12 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Svetaslav Yanchyk during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Svetaslav Yanchyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Libertad FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Argina didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Svetaslav Yanchyk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Libertad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morten Hovland to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Libertad FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Albino Urbes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th minute, Libertad FC's Albino Urbes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Libertad FC defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godofredo Tanio. The Libertad FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godofredo Tanio should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Svetaslav Yanchyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Svetaslav Yanchyk sent off a good shot on target.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Svetaslav Yanchyk to strike the kick off in the second half. Svetaslav Yanchyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Svetaslav Yanchyk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svetaslav Yanchyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svetaslav Yanchyk in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Svetaslav Yanchyk made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. If Svetaslav Yanchyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svetaslav Yanchyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florentino Argina hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Svetaslav Yanchyk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Libertad FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svetaslav Yanchyk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Urbes in the 74th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svetaslav Yanchyk took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Albino Urbes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Libertad FC's Godofredo Tanio got control of the ball when Hector Covarrubias tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 92 minutes of play, Libertad FC's Svetaslav Yanchyk made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Libertad FC had won after a very even match.
