Prudentio Telaeche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the game, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prudentio Telaeche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Eduardo Fontirroig made a precise shot to the right of Prudentio Telaeche. Club Deportes La Serena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 28th minute, Julio Chicote ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportes La Serena the free kick. Prudentio Telaeche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Deportes La Serena's Prudentio Telaeche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Chicote in the 90th minute of play. Prudentio Telaeche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Fernandino in the 91st minute.
