Thanks to some nice moves Tasso Tegeborg could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. 14 minutes into the match, Fors Melodiae Lumen's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Arthur Elisabeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fors Melodiae Lumen getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Felice Di Carlo hit a great ball. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arthur Elisabeth having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tasso Tegeborg in the 20th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Arthur Elisabeth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The throw-in from Yannick Salaar in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raffaelo Ambrogioni in the 29th minute of the match. Fors Melodiae Lumen's Arthur Elisabeth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 36th minute of play. Raffaelo Ambrogioni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Joshua Secada got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Arthur Elisabeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Elisabeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Joshua Secada got a free kick in the 50th minute. If Joshua Secada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the game, Fors Melodiae Lumen's Tasso Tegeborg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Arthur Elisabeth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 65th minute of the match. When Vico Rohner fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fors Melodiae Lumen's protests and gave Vico Rohner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Fors Melodiae Lumen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vico Rohner to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tasso Tegeborg in the 72nd minute of play. Fors Melodiae Lumen's Dennis Samuelsson was substituted for Paolo Guerreiro. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The Venezuela players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
