Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Tyrone Summerfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Piotr Furgal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remigio Palban's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Palban helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Muñeco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Palban didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Muñeco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Palban to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víctor Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Víctor Franco was the one to do the kick off. Muñeco FC's Piotr Furgal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. But to his dismay, Víctor Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Ellande in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Lizer in the 87th minute of play. Tyrone Summerfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
