OAMOREVERDE's Paredes Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Paredes Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paredes Xavier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paredes Xavier saved OAMOREVERDE from getting behind. The supporters of Ecuador booed when OAMOREVERDE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonggo Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play forced OAMOREVERDE's goalkeeper Paredes Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonggo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 27th minute, OAMOREVERDE's Romain Bardet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Romain Bardet sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paredes Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romain Bardet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romain Bardet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paredes Xavier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in OAMOREVERDE's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paredes Xavier came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Vlado Shikalanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
