Wanderson Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Yaya Sow lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. Tiago Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yaya Sow. Ronaldo Crispín's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Yago Leite with Dirk Snabl as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Crispín in the 95th minute of play.
