Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Jóann Sindrason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crystals's supporters rose to their feet, but Jóann Sindrason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Kiljan Valbergsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9thth minute of the game Kiljan Valbergsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Kiljan Valbergsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kiljan Valbergsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Eymar Másson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sváfnir Hásteinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tístran Bjargmundarson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Tístran Bjargmundarson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Crystals's Sváfnir Hásteinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 36th minute of play. Kiljan Valbergsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sváfnir Hásteinsson. Sváfnir Hásteinsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Eymar Másson hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kiljan Valbergsson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Crystals's Kiljan Valbergsson got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jóann Sindrason's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Crystals's Eymar Másson got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes Eliseo Noboa rounded Crystals's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After 68 played minutes, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sváfnir Hásteinsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. In the 69th minute, Jóann Sindrason made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Crystals booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Fólki Ásgeirsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Kiljan Valbergsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Crystals's Jóann Sindrason. But to his dismay, Jóann Sindrason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Crystals's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Axel Tasis scored to the left of an out of position Sváfnir Hásteinsson, making the score, 3-3. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jóann Sindrason in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Crystals players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
