A collision led to Real Juniors getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Zula Furtok hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Real Juniors's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alisson Becker came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alisson Becker was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Javi Pinola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Sebastian Kazczyk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Roland Redondo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Juniors. Real Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
