Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicky Stapleton in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the game, João Dante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charles Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 5th minute, João Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Fowler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicky Stapleton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tyrone Fowler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Charles Town booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone Fowler having to interfere. Charles Town's Tyrone Fowler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 35th minute. Nicky Stapleton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nicky Stapleton did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The nice shot from Nicky Stapleton in the 41stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Julio Vera had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Charles Town got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Farrell.

The wind increased when Nicky Stapleton made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Town's Paşa Işıklı was substituted for Jose Manuel Adan. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Tyrone Fowler came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Charles Town's Sid Gentry was substituted for Sean Egan. Tyrone Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Charles Town booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
