In the 7th minute, Omar Polentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adan Bembe having to make a save. Adan Bembe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes, Alex Cambeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Villa La Perla players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Villa La Perla booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alguacil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. 21 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Medina. In the 29th minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Panama booed when Villa La Perla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador James didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Kelemen in the 43rd minute of the match. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cleto Urti was slow to take the kick. During this time Villa La Perla's players had a chance to rest. Villa La Perla's Mario Policarpio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cotilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Eleder in the 48th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. Mario Policarpio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 61st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. After 64 played minutes Villa La Perla got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Jago. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Alfonso Goyo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Villa La Perla's Benedicto Medina. But to his dismay, Benedicto Medina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Alex Cambeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador James in the 80th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Eugenio Kelemen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. After 85 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Alguacil. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Medina went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Villa La Perla's Cleto Urti couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Panama. Villa La Perla's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
