Paris Saint-Germain's Constantin Ciolacu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Paris Saint-Germain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Constantin Ciolacu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Paris Saint-Germain's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ecuador played a much better game than Paris Saint-Germain and deserved their victory. The Paris Saint-Germain players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
